euroCRIS is a not for profit organisation charged by the European Commission with maintaining, developing and promoting CERIF (Common European Research Information Format) an EU Recommendation to member states.
euroCRIS has members in 41 countries. CERIF is a national standard in 9 countries and used widely elsewhere. Within UK it is the standard recommended by JISC and is used in the RCUK Gateway to Research Project, many JISC projects and in ~50 universities. HEFCE accept CERIF for the REF.
euroCRIS brings to the project expertise in CERIF and its use based on >10 years of international experience in research information management. In UKRISS euroCRIS is represented by Keith Jeffery, President of euroCRIS and Director IT and International Strategy at STFC.
